Rent Kayaks in Bantry Bay
Explore the beautiful waters of Bantry Bay by kayak and experience the freedom that sea kayaking brings you. Paddle your way around the inner harbour area of Bantry Bay or follow the Bantry Blueway which is an easy to follow marked kayaking route around the bay.
We have single and double kayaks available for rental by the hour and you can even bring your dog onboard for a spin!
Additional Kayak Hire Information
All guests will be supplied a life jacket and given a briefing on safety for the kayak use and directions for the Bantry Blueway, a designated kayak route in Bantry Bay. All children must be accompanied by an adult and the minimum age for hire is 16yrs without an adult. All kayaks have backrests for your comfort and are renowned for their stability in the open water.
You have the option to return your kayak to Bantry within the 1hr hire rental time or end your trip on Whiddy Island by booking the Kayak to Whiddy option. On Whiddy, you can explore this historic and beautiful island on foot or hire a bike, or simply relax and enjoy refreshments/food from the bar. We can collect the kayaks from Whiddy from you and you can return to Bantry at your leisure for free later on the ferry.

Kayak to Whiddy Island
Hire a kayak for time in Bantry Bay and end your trip on Whiddy Island where we will collect your kayak and you can get the ferry back to Bantry.

Kids Kayak Camp
Our Kids Kayak Camps are fun-filled 3 Day Camps held during the Easter and Summer holidays. We will kayak, play games and learn about the sea. Locals and visitors are welcome.

A Kayak at Sunset tour in Bantry Bay is a magical experience and a must-do when in West Cork. We will hopefully see wildlife and possibly see the wonder of bioluminescence on our trips.

THE BANTRY BLUEWAY
The Bantry Blueway is a waymarked kayaking route in Bantry Bay and is a fantastic route to follow on your kayak.
Starting from where you collect your kayaking equipment from us on The Railway Pier at Point 7, you can navigate your way around the inner harbour, across to Whiddy Island and back around the smaller islands in the bay.
